On the day Vision of Love started dominating the Phillipine local airwaves, a lot of Filipinos immediately lend thier support for the ultimate Diva of all-time, Mariah Carey. And as years passed by... as new albums, new songs were released and played on every local radio stations... more and more people of all ages got captivated by her legendary voice and charm -- even up to now.

Mariah Carey is undeniably one of the most successful and popular foreign artist in the '90s here in the Philippines. It may be an understatement but yes, she is. Her then-new releases always tops every charts. Her catalogues were always sold-out. There's a saying here that if you're looking for a certain Mariah Carey item, may it be a CD or a magazine, you cannot always expect to easily find one on a regular store - because the huge probability is... they're might out of stock again.

In the Philippines, she is not just a mere pop star. Mariah Carey is one of the most influential international artist. She is a legend... an icon! Her music, her unique melismatic singing technique, her outstanding 5-octave vocal prowess, her songwriting style, her fashion trends and even her own life story among many others is an often subject of inspiration by a myriad of local celebrities and, sadly sometimes, hypocrital imitation by some. But as always, Mariah is Mariah. Often Imitated... Never Duplicated!

November 16, 2003 was the day every loyal Filipino fans have waited for. After so many years of anticipation, finally thier wish was officially granted by the great Diva herself on a night of pure talent and inspiration.
